Restaurant owners in Fresno County struggling to stay in business due to state-mandated COVID-19 restrictions are getting a break on Environmental Health Permit fees to help offset financial hardship. The Fresno County Board of Supervisors approved permit fee credits for restaurants that were forced to close.
In normal times, Thamee had its regulars—but for many customers, it was a special-occasion restaurant, and Burmese was an unfamiliar cuisine, too far outside most people’s weekly dinner rotation. The prix fixe packages were a better approximation of the in-person Thamee experience, but they came at a price point and level of complexity that didn’t make sense for at-home pandemic diners, either.
